Very satisfied. The staff here are very friendly and do not try to push unnecessary insurance on customers. However, it is recommended that when picking up the car, you clearly express your chosen insurance in English. For drivers with adequate experience, basic liability insurance is sufficient. Be clear about your needs to avoid being upsold on extra insurance.

On my e-voucher, it said I would have to take a shuttle to 2860 Del Paso. I just took the shuttle to the airport rental place and got my car there on Aviation drive. It went really quickly.

Car itself was great. However insurance was really expensive. I paid just about $1000 in insurance alone for my rental which was 50% of the cost of the entire rental. Wish I wasn't talked into it by the counter people, otherwise good car.

The rental drop off is not in the airport terminal. You need to take a shuttle bus to the terminal. I told them I have lots of luggage, and it will be difficult to carry it onto the bus, so one of the Hertz team members drove me to the terminal, meaning I did not have to unload the car!

Signposting of vehicle pick up/drop off when coming from terminal an issue. Okay when first leaving terminal then cannot see where to go as no signposting. Also not sure where to go to drop off as no signposting in car park. Drop off point didn't have Alamo written on it - I had to ask.

Like: The car was great! The clerk who brought me to my car, totally great!! I loved that there was no change in the cost of the car. It was completely transparent from beginning to end.

The Sacramento airport car rental center is not very large, but return areas for each rental company are clearly marked. Simply park the car and someone will come to inspect it; they will check the fuel gauge, print a receipt, and you’re good to go. Remember to leave the car keys on the dashboard. You then walk a few meters to the only building, turn right to find Alamo for renting a new car, or walk through the building to take the shuttle to the terminal for your flight. There are several toll bridges in the San Francisco Bay Area, most charge $5, while the Golden Gate Bridge charges $7.5; queues tend to be long, so don't be tempted to use the truck-only lanes on the left to avoid charges, as Alamo will bill you later with an extra service fee (often double). Be cautious of upsells at the rental counter: they might claim that without their separate rescue insurance, Alamo will not assist you (however, if you've bought QEEQ's rescue insurance, you'll still be covered). Also, prepaying for fuel to return the car empty is often more expensive than market prices, and driving it down to empty is more hassle than refilling the tank before returning.

The service staff didn't seem very honest. They suggested we choose the additional service where you don't need to return the car with a full tank, which is quite expensive. They said it's hard to find gas stations when returning the car, but in the USA, gas stations are more common than convenience stores, so there's no need to worry.

Unfortunately, Advantage closed at this location the previous month, but Enterprise took over the contracts. After I was able to locate where my contract was being honored, everything went very smoothly. In fact, since there were no compact cars available, I was upgraded to a very nice full size car! Overall, a very pleasant experience!
