It was quite a horrible experience. I prepaid in full, but when I picked up the car, they told me that all the available cars in my selected category were electric. They mentioned that I would need to download an app to operate these cars, implying it would be very troublesome. I asked them to switch me to a gasoline car, and they only told me it would cost $140. The key point is, they didn't inform me it would be an additional charge. I didn't realize I was being misled until I saw the bill. Then, I had to ask the staff to cancel the vehicle upgrade. Moreover, I clearly told the staff that I had my own insurance and did not need to buy the rental company's insurance. However, they kept pushing it on me. After I explicitly refused, a $130 insurance fee inexplicably appeared on my rental agreement! I had to go back to the counter again to cancel it. Originally, the rental cost was supposed to be around $1000, but with these two hidden charges, I ended up spending an additional 2000 RMB. It's a total rip-off. If a customer isn’t fluent in English, they could easily be scammed.

Had booked a chevy Tahoe, was 'upsold' to a ford Expedition due to it having more luggage space at the counter by the Avis clerk and his supervisor who was sat next to him as I use a wheelchair and he said we would require the larger space. It turns out the chevy has more cargo space by aprox 6sft. I feel that I was just taken advantage of. The Ford was great to drive although it was dirty, windscreen inside was filthy and it was obvious it had not been valeted and was nearly but not quite full of fuel. Also the body of the vehicle was fairly beat up for a vehicle with only 25k miles. I did send Avis an email but disappointingly never received a response. The pick up and drop off was super efficient service

Overall satisfied, but they may not clearly explain the extra insurance you buy. Also, they did not mention that no refund will be given for unused fuel if you purchase the fuel waiver. Friends who rent from them again, if you already bought insurance on QEEQ, clearly inform the rental company not to buy any insurance and decide on the fuel waiver service based on your needs.

Although I informed them I had my own sunpass for the tolls and this was confirmed as ok, they failed to mention that the E-Toll they now use is linked to the car and not a box affixed to window. On return home $30+ taken in toll charges which are duplicate to my sunpass charges. Budget are dealing with this and are refunding after sending proof of the payments I had made

The online booking was easy. The shuttle from airport to car rental place was a very long wait! We saw many other shuttle companies multiple times before ours showed up- which was disappointing- the driver was super nice tho. When we got there the people at the desk wanted our insurance policy for 3rd party rentals- which I got the email saying that BUT what they didn’t say was for how much! We had $100,000 covered but you wanted (and only provided this info on a sign when we walked into the car rental place) you wanted $300,000 and I believe not many people have that much coverage for a car rental b/c what car are you renting that cost $300,000! Therefore for us not to be stuck at the car rental we had to pay MORE money! Which was not in our budget!

The car matched my expectations. The shuttle bus to and from the airport would have been pleasant if the air conditioning on the shuttle had been adequate. Instead it was a very hot and unpleasant 30 minute ride to and from the rent a car in the middle of hot summer days. A/C on the shuttle bus was on but not cooling.

FOX Rent A Car made me wait one-hour and fifteen minutes because my vehicle was not available. They made me wait in the lobby and only when I approached them they made me wait longer until they completed the booking they were handling or I would have waited even longer. The car was dirty both inside and out. I do understand that for the price we paid that we could not expect the perfect car, but we received a car where the inside padding above the driver's side of the car door kept falling out. Although I provided an international insurance cover on the day, I was sold another cover because the person at the counter gave my wife the impression that we were not at all covered and I had to take out another insurance on the day.

It was pouring rain, and we were expected to inspect the vehicle using an iPad in an uncovered lot. Additionally, they didn't have enough iPads for all customers so we had to wait. When I finally got an iPad, the vehicle keys they gave me didn't work with any van on the lot - they were a spare set of keys to a van already rented to someone else. NU found me another van but didn't update the rental policy with the new van information until I pointed it out to them. Pick up was a real mess and there were other customers who rented children's car seats but they were broken and not functional.

Small business car rental. They were nice enough to pick up from airport and when returning to drop off at hotel. They text a couple days before or use whatsapp to communicate. The had the car seats as hoped. The car had the engine service light on but they noted it and said it was ok to drive still, I was just worried about that. The car was great other than that. People were friendly.

Had a great experience with Routes car rental. Car exceeded my expectations and was clean and new. Pick up was a little slow but to be fair a shuttle full of customers arrived at the same time. Agent did not try to pressure or "scam" me into buying any extra insurance, toll pass or gas. Car return was super easy and fast. Shuttle to and from Routes was also fast and efficient. I would use this car rental co. again and would recommend it to anyone.

The car i was provided at pick up was not the same as what I booked online. The car turned out to be dirty and alignment was very wobbly during the first three days of drive. I took the hassle to drive back to Orlando airport to swap the car because I felt very unsafe. Then advantage rent a car gave me another car as replacement, but then the car still not as clean as I expected, and the exterior had quite lots of scratch marks and dents (as photo shown)

All staff had a difficult time pronouncing my last name that starts with the letter Y. I suppose in their culture it is pronounced with an H sound as in “hard”. So I had to do a little training on one of the staff. She was very appreciative and had a good attitude. That made it OK for me.

Car , inside and out dirty ( chairs in the back dirty) Tires were being inflated while waiting for the car . They picked us up 45 minutes late. They took us on a minivan to a trailer office. They told me they don't open until 6am and my flight leaves at 730am, so it wouldn't work for us by returning the vehicle, but the most disappointing issue was the insurance. They tell you that your own insurance is not enough and pretty much force you to get their insurance, which janks up the price. Avoid these scammers is my humble advice.

Keywords: scam, thievery, crooks, avoid. This company has a couple different names - Nextcar and OneSwitch. There may have been a third but I can’t remember. They operate in bait and switch mode. You will pay a price upfront (using a service like kayak, extending to something else like Queeq.com) but that will change significantly upon arrival. No insurance is good enough. While standing there, waiting for an eternity, 2 people walked out the door infuriated with the price changes. I would have followed in their footsteps, had I not already been delayed nearly an hour waiting for their ridiculous shuttle to take me to the office from the airport. I was on a very strict time constraints and forced to stay with this service. My $89 rental became $277 with the additional insurance charges and being forced to rent their sunpass box at $11 a day, plus the tolls. If I chose to decline the Sunpass, I would have had to pay each individual toll plus a $25 fee for each one. The exterior is filthy, with trash cans overflowing, the lobby is fairly clean, but bathrooms are disgustingly dirty. I could go on forever about how unhappy I was with this company, but I will just summarize by saying AVOID!

They charged a $1000 deposit even though we purchased coverage through EasyRentCars and had my own auto insurance. They also did not give me a receipt at drop off and then charged me an additional $120 without contacting me or giving me a reason for the additional charges. We thought we had a great deal, price wise, for the 4 days we rented the vehicle. But upon pick-up of vehicle (going through/signing of the paperwork), we were unpleasantly surprised that we had (forced) to obtain their liability insurance although we told them that we had our own. Our overall review on the hire company during my stay was very good. I was dealt efficiently at the desk and returning the car was simple. Now I've returned to the UK my opinion has completely changed. At the desk I was asked if I required any further excess insurance but I told the agent that I already had that cover through a company in the UK. He seemed fine with that. At that point he asked me to sign the paperwork but unbeknown to me I was signing for the Excess Insurance which I had already told him was not required. At no point did he explain about the insurance so I'd been tricked into buying this cover. An obvious case of misselling but no doubt a good commission for him. The rental car fuel policy was full to full which is normal practice. He recommended that I pay for a full tank of fuel at approx $40 so that I could bring back the vehicle empty with no extra cost. That way when I came to fill up towards the end of the vacation it would be far cheaper than if I had to refill myself-another blatant lie as I filled up on a number of occasions in various parts of Florida and never cost me more than $30. Sounds like another little scam for the rental company. I wasn't of course aware of any of these issues until I returned to the UK. I'm now faced with a bill of $419.72 for Excess Insurance which I'm contesting. Unfortunately their malpractice has spoilt what was a wonderful vacation.

Horsepower Car Rental is a very small company. The Toyota had 68000+ miles on it. There were very vary many small dents and scratches on the vehicle. Take pictures and video of the car and spare tire, always. The car had a toll transponder in it. I was never told until I picked up the car that I would have to pay $7.95/day for this service. This option was not by choice; it was required. I have ALWAYS paid Florida tolls as I go. Not a choice with Horsepower. It is MANDATORY! I will NEVER rent a vehicle from Horsepower again and I do NOT recommend them.

We landed late in the evening. We didn't know that the rental place was off-site, and had to look back through email to find a telephone number for the shuttle. It was 45 minutes from phone call to pick up. Once back in the office, we were told we need to buy a toll pass with an up front charge and a daily rate. Our insurance wasn't one of the seven they accepted, so, guess what? Another charge to pay for their insurance. I'm doing the math during this whole sales pitch and realizing we're aren't saving anything, and we are renting from a place that's 10 minutes from the terminal. Oddly enough, the employee said, "If this is too much, we can just take you back to the airport." So, that's what we did. We rented from a national company, which ended up being about the same price, right there in the airport, and had no trouble. But, our vacation started with 2 hours down the drain just to end up with no car from Horspower (why'd you take the "e" out of that word, anyway?). I wasn't comfortable with the up front charges, and it made me afraid that we were in for a big surprise when we returned the car. I guess we'll never know.

Counter staff was rude and couldn’t clearly explain what the extra fees were that he was charging us. He also tried to scam us into paying $10/day for the EZPass for video toll roads. It’s actually quite easy to avoid going on those roads. Flex seemed like the economical way to go, but in fact, ended up costing just as much as a car rental in the airport terminal, which would have been much more convenient.

Eddy and his brother a very professional and knowledgeable people and they DO offer a very good customer service. The check-in process very fast, no long lines like in big companies. They offered me a mid-size type of vehicle, instead of my compact-one without any charges And I really did like that they haven't tried to up sell me their insurance. The deposit was of a 200$, not like other companies, where it can go up to 500$ or 1.000$. I'm pleased and everything was very smooth !

My voucher was for $142.65. I declined all extra insurance, gas, etc. When I was handed my bill, it came to $187.79. This is because Value adds, without asking permission, a fee for "RSA" of $3.99 per day. "RSA" apparently is "road side assistance." I immediately told the desk person I did not approve that. She said it was too late to remove this unapproved charge, and I should call their office. This is the second time they have done this to me. This is outright theft. Also, I was told when I returned the car that I would be emailed my final bill, and I wasn't.

Yes, i'm really not pleasant with the car, not only was not what we chose as well as the windshield wiping nothing having greatly delayed our travel times. we should be reimbursed for some amount of what we payed as it was very unfair and even dangerous what happened. and to finish, there was a light on the board that the guy told us that would desperate, but that did happened.

Tried to sell insurance. Gave me smaller size vehicle than I paid for. My reservation included GPS but no GPS came with the car. Toll transponder daily rate is too high.

I was overcharged $2.40 when I picked up the car. My total rental price was supposed to be $75, of which $15 was paid during online booking and $60 to be paid at pick-up. At pick-up I was billed $62.40, ($2.40 more than the agreed $60 on my reservation). The customer service rep at the counter could not provide a satisfactory reason for the extra charge. I demand a refund the $2.40 extra charge or I will not use your services again.

No waiting lines, but they forcefully added a fuel charge of over 40 dollars, saying it wouldn't be necessary to fill up the tank when returning the car.

The service at the store was mediocre. For such a high price, the car provided was really just average. I don't want to rent from here again. On the way from Miami to Key West, the front left tire blew out, which was terrifying. I had to pay $56 for roadside assistance because I didn't choose the coverage. I was told I could change cars at Key West. When I got there, an uncooperative employee made things difficult, telling me to get the tire repaired instead of replacing it. After finding the repair place twice, they said the tire could be patched up and used again, despite my explanations that the left front tire was damaged from driving flat. The right front tire also had a bulge but they refused to change it. In frustration, I went directly to the store, where a nice lady helped me switch to another car. This was a small comfort, but the best part of my travel time had already been wasted. What a pity!

Getting shuttle to and from airport was guick. Staff very courteous and friendly. I had no problems. The car was clean and very nice. I would definetly recommend and use again on my next trip.

Very slow on pick up and not much communication during wait to be served. Staff could be mor friendly. Full check car on drop off and write all ok on paperwork.

1st vehicle had a malfunction error on dashboard. Waiting over 30 minutes to be served. Charged for gas that I shouldnt have been. Never received a closeout email or notified I will be charged; error was on the location as my car was switched and vehicle I drove off on had a quarter tank and I returned with more than half.

The place was understaffed Car wasn't clean, only tank full hardly any automation, diagram of car on a flip chart and a signature asked no hard copy of agreement given, was told all was sent via mail. if stopped by police would be an issue same was true on drop off, diagram of car with a so-called check and signature. I was never sure if anything could've been added later. staff said they could block max 2200 usd on my credit card but could save that option against a fee of 500 + usd. after a long flight, dark outside, exhausted, many like me went along just to get out of there worst was next day when I was already in another city I discovered car wasn't cleaned, food remains and dirt on floor. worst was wheels were all different make/model with one with a different specification ( see photos) the front left tire was border line thread worthy. how a rental company can easily allow a car to be rented out is amazing.

Arrived at the Orlando airport with a prepaid reservation. The agency did not exist! The phone number at the invoice was out of service. We're told it went out of business. We had to rent from another company.

Like: Hugo, was very easy to deal with and a very nice man. No over the counter experiences, just so casual which was nice.
Dislike: Unfortunately the check engine light came on in the car, no fault to anyone and luckily situation was easy fixed.
