This was my first time renting a car abroad since the pandemic, and I forgot some of the European processes, which made me spend quite a while at the counter discussing things. For instance, I bought insurance on the platform but still had to pay a deposit (this is just a regular car rental deposit to cover fines or penalties, if any). Additionally, there was a fuel tank deposit, which is refundable as long as you return the car with a full tank; it's just another form of security. QEEQ remains as reliable as ever, offering clear instructions and being as convenient and efficient as it was before the pandemic. I chose a leading local rental company instead of a global one, and the service was very convenient."

Upon arrival, we were informed that fuel refills must be done within 5 kilometers of the store. They asked us to refill it nearby, but it only cost an additional 1 euro to top it off... Unbelievable! This is the first time we’ve encountered such strict rules. The worst part was the time wasted, as we were heading to the airport after returning the car."

  10 - "I originally booked an Alfa Tonale from Arrow, but they gave me a relatively new Toyota Raize instead. It only had 6,000 kilometers on it and was a plug-in hybrid, which was quite nice. The car was spacious as well. Since I purchased full insurance, the return process was very smooth—they just checked if the tank was full, and that was it. The deposit was refunded quickly; I received the money the next day. The only downside was that both pickup and drop-off were in the underground parking lot on B4 next to the store. The sharp turns there really tested my driving skills. When returning the car, the staff inspected it at the roadside near the store and asked me to drive it back down before coming up again."

  8 - "The queue was incredibly long. This was the first time I encountered a 30-minute wait for picking up a rental car, probably because the price was cheap. RecordGO had over ten service counters and eight self-service machines, yet the wait was still very long! There were two types of deposits: 1. €129 fuel deposit, 2. €1200 insurance deposit. The process was relatively smooth overall. Right before returning the car, I refueled until the pump clicked at the nearest gas station to the airport, then drove about 1-2 km to return the car. However, the staff said the tank was not full??? I was confused and explained that I had only driven 1-2 km, and the staff replied, 'OK, no problem, it's fine!' But the next day, €69 was deducted from the fuel deposit, and I only got back about half of it! Absolutely ridiculous!"

  10 - "CENTAURO at Seville Train Station is easy to locate, and both pick-up and drop-off are very convenient. I selected the basic package online and upgraded to full insurance at the store. The staff only charged a fuel deposit, so I didn't need to pay a vehicle deposit. There's a gas station right across from the car rental, making it convenient to return the car with a full tank. The fuel deposit was refunded by the third day after returning the car, which was quite efficient. I rented the car for just one day to travel between Seville and Granada, and the rental company had no mileage restrictions for single-day rentals. This made driving more flexible than using public transportation, and the overall cost was advantageous as well."

We were told that without it, any damage would incur a 1250 Euro charge. It seems like the platform and the rental company didn't coordinate well, which wasted a lot of my time. There was already a queue during pickup. Both pickup and return locations were fairly easy to find; just follow the signs. Since the Volkswagen we booked was out of stock, the rental company upgraded our car. The staff member was really very nice. The car had screen mirroring and a reverse camera. Be sure to check the fuel type while refueling. Turns out this was an X1 diesel version."

We ended up with a new BMW X3 showing just over 6,000 km, while they got an older model Peugeot 5008 showing over 130,000 km. The difference is clear, and I think this showcases QEEQ's advantage."

However, the shuttle frequency wasn't as high as other rental companies, likely due to lower booking volume. Picking up the car was super smooth. I got the Mini I wanted, and surprisingly, it was a brand new car with only 5,000 kilometers on it. On this island known for tourism, renting such a new car felt like a real treat. Since this place is all about beach activities, it’s common practice to stop by a gas station before returning the car, spend a little change vacuuming out the sand, and maybe give the car a wash. This makes the return process quicker – respect goes both ways, after all."
