Renting a car in Europe is actually quite convenient, as long as you have all the necessary documents, the process is very quick. However, the rental office may upsell insurance and vehicle upgrades. Personally, I think buying full insurance at the rental office is necessary when traveling abroad—it’s more convenient than dealing with claims back home after an accident abroad. So I purchased it. As for the vehicle upgrade, since the available upgraded model was the new Mercedes C200D, and as a car enthusiast, I couldn't resist choosing it. Overall, spending money always feels worth it.

1. The shuttle bus was impossible to find. I had no idea where it was and spent half an hour searching for it. In the end, I had to take a taxi, which cost 10 euros on the meter. The driver said the starting fare from the airport is 21 euros. 2. At the time of car pickup, they aggressively pushed an insurance plan costing 26 euros per day, even though I had already purchased full insurance. 3. If you don’t buy their insurance, no one will assist you during pickup. They simply hand you a key and leave you to search for the car among hundreds of vehicles under the blazing sun. 4. Apart from the authorization hold, they also blocked 109 euros for fuel, saying it would be refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. I’ve rented cars many times and this is the first time I’ve encountered a company that precharges fuel costs. 5. I received a parking ticket during the rental period and asked the staff for help on how to handle it, but they completely ignored me and told me to sort it out myself without providing any guidance or information.

The company enforced the purchase of full insurance, which I didn't appreciate. It was my first time renting an electric car, and charging it was very inconvenient—sometimes it took several hours to fully charge. Goldcar's customer service was poor. They mentioned free parking for electric cars but only stated that it applied to blue zones when asked, without explaining that you need to display a receipt on the windshield. As a result, I received a fine. I wanted to pay the fine myself, but the rental company charged a €50 management fee first and then told me to handle the payment on my own. Additionally, I accidentally drove into another country for two hours and was charged €105 without prior warning from the rental company. They did not inform me in advance that crossing into other European countries would incur a fee. Rules are strictly enforced abroad, and accidental mistakes are not accommodated.

It was average. When returning the car, the lady claimed there was an issue with a headlight cover! The contract she gave me noted several damages but didn't mention the headlight cover. She asked if I took photos during pickup—luckily, I did. The parking lot was quite dim at the time, so the photos weren’t very clear, and I didn’t carefully take pictures of the entire car. Fortunately, I had a photo of the front. After showing her, she didn’t say much. I asked her why they didn’t list all the damages, and she said, 'We’re humans too, and mistakes happen.' I’m not sure if this was intentional or not!

The SUV I got had a DR logo. When I picked it up, the car had scratches, three tires were underinflated, one license plate screw was loose, and the carpet under the footrest had two worn-through holes. The rental company didn’t conduct a handover; they just gave me the key and told me to get the car myself. Returning the car was also just parking in the assigned spot and dropping the key into a mailbox. I was very worried the rental company would charge me extra money. This is not QEEQ's issue; it’s a problem with foreign rental companies—they’re not as thorough and reliable with vehicle inspections as companies in China. Two deposits were required: one for €900 as a violation-related deposit and another for over €110 as a full-fuel deposit.

This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. I waited for the pick-up service for one and a half hours. The process took 40 minutes, and the car I received was not the same class as the one shown online. The most outrageous part was when I returned the car; they tried to blame me for various small damages that were already there. This shop offers delivery to the airport, but I took public transit from Barcelona city center. I contacted the store, and the actual address is Avinguda les Garrigues 46, Mas Blau, Barcelona. I picked up and returned the car here. The staff's English was not very good, making phone communication a bit challenging at first. However, a staff member contacted me via WhatsApp, and they were friendly and patient. The car was inexpensive and in good condition. I chose ACE company to avoid renting with companies with poor reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out that ACE is used only to cover up the fact that you are renting with Gold car ( bad experience in the past) that in fact is using Rhodium cars ( very poor reviews). I could have rented with them directly for a lower price, but I wanted to go with a more reputable company. This practice is very misleading and this experience was rather disappointing. Expensive rental, hard to find at the airport, long line, extra tax charges, claims of having no insurance even though papers claim that I boight a basic one.

This caused a big delay and made me go back to the terminal, which was not ideal as it was already late and my son is 4 years old. The front desk employee (a girl) was very cold. I purchased full insurance, but in case of an accident, I have to pay the entire amount upfront. This might not be the car rental company's issue, but the staff's attitude was extremely indifferent. You have to sign before seeing the contract, which company does that? The staff's English was poor and they couldn't explain things clearly. The lighting in the parking lot was very dim when inspecting the car. The storage box cover inside the car didn't close properly and was taped up. For evidence at return, I planned to take pictures but wasn't allowed to. It took nearly an hour to pick up the car. After twenty years of renting cars, this was the worst experience.

(1) The day before leaving Barcelona, we found the car tire had been mysteriously punctured. Since we only had basic insurance, Autoclick advised us to handle it ourselves. After two phone calls with no response, we couldn't reach them again. Very poor service, and they didn't inform us about any free towing services, which cost us an extra 80 euros. Very disappointing. (2) The store is a bit far from the airport with no clear signage. We spent a long time searching for it and only found it after calling to get the exact address.
