Europcar gave us a smaller car than we ordered which was not a problem - what was a problem was that the car was covered in scratches and marks, most of which were not on the contract - when I pointed this out the service person just said to take some photos- this was not satisfactory but we were short of time so ADIS just that - I’m addition the car was not cleaned outside or inside - it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned properly for ages - and finally when we returned the car back to europcar Strasbourg the person there didn’t check anything saying only that it was all ok - but I now have an extra new charge on my credit card which is unexplained- it has effectively doubled the cost of the car that I paid for through EasyRentCars- I tried ringing europcar in Strasbourg but they didn’t answer so I went to their head office who advised that they needed to see bank statements and details of my complaint- I have sent them an email with these details but they will only respond within 7 business days - I find this as just a delaying tactic - I will never use europcar again as they have a reputation for this kind of post return charging - I should have paid attention to the “reviews” on europcar Strasbourg

The staff who assisted us were very professional, patient, and efficient. When returning the car, we couldn't fully refuel for some reason, but after showing the fuel receipt, the staff agreed to fully refund the deposit.

The rental and return processes were quite smooth. The car provided was okay. However, when I arrived, I found out that the car I booked (BMW) was not available and I was given a cheaper one instead.
