If you purchased full insurance on the QEEQ platform, there's no need to buy the car rental company's own insurance. They will keep recommending their insurance, first quoting the original price, and if you refuse, they will offer the discounted online price. It is ultimately up to you whether to buy or not. If you drive carefully, the insurance from the platform is sufficient. It is recommended to use a small car in Marseille. We rented a Lynk SUV, which was easy to drive but relatively large. Some roads in Marseille are quite narrow, so be mindful of potential scrapes.

I had a discussion at return, as they inspected the car and told me all is OK, then they charged me for missing fuel. I was still in airport so I went back to the office in parking and I was told indicator was missing a line. I shown them the receipt of refuelling which was consistent with the km of the rental, and told them the gun was clicking out showing full tank and indicator was probably faulty. Only after a long discussion with another employee the charge was removed from my invoice.

return was smooth and enjoyable. The pick up whole process is horrible and full of inconvenience. The Goldcar doesn't accept amexrican express. When charge the debit car 1400 euro for deposit, they just do the conversion and make it 1260 Pounds themself . then when they later return deposit, they then return 1400 euro which converted automatically to 1200 pounds like market rate. So we just loss 60 pounds for nothing by the Goldcar customer named Hugo service person incompetence work.

The process was very fast, and there was no forced requirement to purchase additional insurance. They only charged a 600 credit card deposit. To drive out of the parking lot, you need a code provided by the rental company, but the staff apparently didn’t inform us about this, so we had to return to the rental office to ask again.

The car from Marseille had brake pad issues. QEEQ coordinated and replaced it with a new car (picture 2), a 1,000-kilometer new model. However, the entire process took 24 hours, which affected our itinerary.

We had a problem at pick-up as the location was closed so the shuttle from the airport was not available (they were not expecting us) and an employee returned to the location especially to open up for us.

Our flight landed very early which meant we were at the counter at 9:45am for a 10:30 booking. The staff were unable to access the booking until 10:30 which meant a 45 minute wait. Not great when you have been traveling since 4am! Other than that it was a very smooth experience and we will definitely use Dollar again.

The company you provided the rental with (interment) have sent me an unreadable invoice and have charged me an additional £50 to my credit card without my permission, after they had cleared my rental and said there would be no further charge. The email address from which they sent the invoice is a no reply address so I cannot even reply. This is totally unacceptable and to take additional money without my agreement is fraudulent.

We did not get the car we wanted. We were not given any other option than what we got 'take it or leave it'. They were totally over the top in trying to sell insurance. They insisted on a credit card (which a lot of people don't use anymore). Why not take a deposit on a visa debit. We had to pay c€250 for this reason. The building is overcrowded and their process is too slow. It is not obvious to take a ticket when you arrive.

The airport rental desk staff claimed I had zero insurance and tried to make me sign a document to acknowledge it. Allegedly nobody has insurance with inter rent. I object to have vastly different expectations between booking and actual execution. If you are aware of what inter rent / gold car are going then you need to make your booking more transparent. If not, you should take this up with them and stop trying to extort customer at the desk

Our flight landed early and we got through baggage handling and passport control early which meant we were an hour early to pick up the rental. However thrifty would not let us pick up the car or even queue up until the time we had scheduled not even for an additional price. The car was there and ready so this seemed really odd
