We rented a car in France for a trip that included visiting Switzerland. The rental company charges a cross-border fee of €31.96 regardless of the number of days the vehicle is taken out of France. When picking up the car, one of the families traveling with us forgot their driver's license, which delayed the process until just before the store's closing time. As a result, the counter staff forgot to charge the cross-border fee. Later, when we drove into Switzerland, we realized this could invalidate the insurance we had purchased through QEEQ. Upon contacting QEEQ customer service, we were informed that it was a weekend and the rental company was closed, so they couldn't assist us immediately. We were advised to visit the nearest branch for clarification. On the next working day, we went to a nearby AVIS location to record the incident. Eventually, the cross-border fee was deducted from the deposit we had prepaid, resolving the issue.

They assigned a Fiat, which is quite spacious and decent overall. The rental process was straightforward; I thought it would be complicated, but it turned out to be simple—just go, complete a quick procedure, pay, and pick up the car. During pickup, they gave a brief explanation of the car's condition, which was fine, but as a first-time renter, a more detailed introduction would have been helpful. However, I figured things out on my own later.

Satisfied, the car is relatively new with manual transmission and runs on gasoline, just over 20,000 kilometers. Initially hoped for a diesel car, but considering the cheaper gasoline in Switzerland, it turned out to be a positive. During pickup, they kindly asked if I could handle a manual transmission.

The blue tooth was a nightmare. Glad it wasn’t raining. Tried to contact Liigu about this, no reply. No contact now and dropped car off 3 days ago. Should have received all ok message. Not aware you held my deposit for 2 months, not clear on booking

Liigu are charging me €345 for a chipped windscreen. This absolutely did not occur whilst we had the car. The ridiculous expectation is that the customer should photograph every angle/panel/glass on the car to prove their innocence. I have zero-excess insurance, but it’s the principle of withholding the huge excess payment for extortion/stealing it if you don’t provide photographic evidence. Utterly disgusting company I will never deal with again.

We had to wait quite a long time and several phone calls to get picked up at the airport and be taken to the Sicily By Car office to collect the vehicle. Also the satnav directions to get back to their office and drop off the vehicle, using the Company's postcode, took us on a very circuitous, county route.

Car was great. Due to heavy traffic on our return we did not have time to fill up the tank. Interrent charged €18 for the fuel which is acceptable then a further €50 penalty for not returning the vehicle full. Very angry at this unreasonably high penalty. I will not use them again.
