The supplier is easy to find at the airport and overall service was great. The car inspection during return was quite thorough. It seems a motorcycle scratched the right front part of the car on the way, which was noticed by the staff during inspection.

I still have not received my insurance deposit of €1900 back after 8 days! Disgusting! Never use them again and if my money isn’t back within the next 48 hours I’ll be pursuing them legally!

The check at pickup to reconcile the faults in the car beforehand were not done at all. Also the document I signed at the drop off was not sent to my email

The wait for pick up was very long with no waiting area. The agent who served me did not clearly explain the rental agreement and I was wrongly charged 350 euros more that what I was expecting as additional extras were added without explanation. Agent at the drop off was sympathetic to my circumstances, but unable to help.

The set-up assistant missed informing us of the fuel shortage and strikes at the petrol station in Faro. So in the week when we ran out and kept finding closed stations, we spoke with CS and eventually got to Julie after 24 hours of to and fro. She pulled out all the stops to make sure we were fuelled and ok to go and kept in touch till we were happy all was okk

The car was an automatic Ford Focus estate, several classes higher than the reservation. It had quite a bit of cosmetic damage all marked clearly on the documentation. However, the car did everything I wanted, and I would be happy to have it again. Counter staff were very good, probably the fastest return and transfer I've experienced. If there was anything slightly below excellent it was the comparatively long walk to car park P4 and a measure of uncertainty as to where to wait in the car park. However, the shuttle arrived within a minute of the expected time and was easy to find in the car park. Overall, it was a decent alternative hire

Really pushed to buy their insurance, I was told that the Axa policy excess was only €800 and that the excess on the car was €2100. They did pre-auth my card for that amount. I believe that the girl was knowing quoting the wrong figures from the policies. These people need to be stopped.

The staff where putting pressure on us spending more money on all sorts. This was not said when we booked. We ended up paying 171.95 Euros, was disgusting as we had our own insurance they said it didn't cover but it 100% did. As they said they didn't understand my argument they said is this amount or nothing. Then they charged huge amount on the credit card which I still wait to get back. Awful would never book again. We book cars at least 10 times a year and this was the worst yet due to adding money on top.

Decent car, though fair warning there is significant upswell of insurance at the counter. Guy at the counter straight on lied to my face about many things, such as their cars not having a spare wheel even though it was present when I checked later. Their charges for even minor dents and damages is significant plus they keep adding on extra admin fees if you don’t buy their insurance. I ended up buying the extra insurance though they didn’t seem it make it a choice available to customer.

Large car rental companies provide professional service. There was a bit of a queue when picking up the car at the airport location, but returning the car was incredibly smooth. You simply park the car, an employee takes a quick look around the vehicle (30 seconds), and then confirms the payment is done. You can leave right away.

This was basically just Hertz. Full hertz service but with a lower price tag! They said they weren't too fussed about scratches etc. to the car and didn't try hard to upsell insurance.

We had to get a taxi to the pick up location due to the number of people waiting at airport for the bus and then had to queue for 2.5 hours to pick up the car. It was terrible!

At pickup: we were shortly after 20:00 hrs, so Autorent claimed a penalty of €35,-- for helping outside office hours! We did not get the car without paying €35. At our hotel we got the message that they forgot to handover my my driverslicense; I had to drive from Albufeira to Faro to pick up my drivers license. At return of the car the checking man was so helpful to drive us to the airporthotel (instead of shuttle to airport). Happy with that (saved a 16 min walk; we had no luggage then).

Pickup at Faro was a nightmare. A long walk to the pickup bus and then a long wait. The one bus came and went twice with others queuing ahead of us before we got on it. Return was smoother.

I booked an estate car which could fit 5 people and 3 suitcases, when I arrived to pick the car up I was handed the keys to a Clio “estate” this car was not what I booked 2 people had to get a taxi from the airport as they couldn’t fit in with their bag, the boot wouldn’t fit two suitcases in. when I pulled this up with Discovery he couldn’t care at all, just said thank you and walked away whilst I was explaining this isn’t what was booked, the return of the vehicle was a nightmare as well, the area they are in the airport is car park 4, I dropped it back to the office but was then told it was the wrong area and I had to pay the car park fee of €5, absolutely dreadful, I wouldn’t recommend at all
