Overall, it was okay. Possibly because I purchased their insurance, the deposit refund was very quick—I received it shortly after returning the car. The only downside was the shuttle driver. She arrived late and showed no sign of apology. We had a bit more luggage, and as we were loading piece by piece onto the vehicle, not only did she not help, but she kept rushing us, claiming that being late would incur penalties. We ended up sweating profusely trying to hurry. If she was worried about penalties, why not arrive earlier or on time? Their approach is truly puzzling. The car they gave us had a broken rear windshield wiper, but everything else was fine.

Very good overall, but as we booked and paid on line before we went some of the charges weren’t explained properly to us ! You could make it clearer about fuel charges and insurance fees. We booked two cars and wanted to add a driver to one , but the guy we dealt with did not listen and added 3 drivers to on and two on the other ! And charged for the extra driver but it was quicker to just go with it.

My friend recommended us to use ZuzuCar. On April 20th, we rented a car after my friend advised against purchasing insurance and told us to record videos of the car during pickup. At the car pickup, we filmed all the scratches and the car body. We booked the car online and picked it up at Alicante Airport. The staff told us to buy insurance, but we declined. The rental was very cheap, costing only 757 RMB from April 20th to May 3rd. We understood they were pushing insurance to make money, as the insurance would cost 378 euros. We insisted on not buying it. However, the staff said that if there were scratches over 5 cm, we'd have to pay 1350 euros. At that point, I was tempted to buy, but my friend insisted it wasn’t necessary, so we ended up not purchasing insurance. Another issue arose because I didn’t have the physical copy of my driver’s license. I only had a notarized and Hague-certified copy, which they refused. Later, my husband used the international driving license translation service from Alipay, and the staff accepted it. However, they insisted on adding a second driver fee for 130 euros, making my husband the second driver; otherwise, we couldn't proceed. We agreed immediately, as we just wanted to get the car. Finally, we successfully picked up the car. During the rental period, I didn’t dare drive out of fear since we didn’t buy insurance. My husband was cautious with parking and driving, and there were no issues. Eventually, the return process went smoothly. We returned the car at 7 a.m. on May 3rd, cleaned thoroughly, without a single scratch or dent. The staff inspected the car with a flashlight on her phone, checking every detail. All the scratches she pointed out were already documented in my photos, and she confirmed everything as okay. After a 10-minute inspection, she gave me a thumbs-up and said I was good to go. I asked whether I needed to sign anything to confirm, but she said no and that I could leave. I also asked when the deposit would be refunded, and she said it would take 7-10 business days, or possibly sooner. The deposit was the 1350 euros frozen due to not purchasing insurance. However, the next day, I received an email stating they would deduct 100 euros. I was stunned. Everything had been confirmed as okay, so why was I being charged? I quickly contacted customer service via the ZuzuCar app. Due to the time difference, we exchanged emails over a few days. They claimed there were scratches on the wheels and wanted me to pay 100 euros. I couldn’t believe it—who thinks about photographing the wheels during pickup? It felt absurd! I responded via email, refusing to agree. Eventually, ZuzuCar negotiated with them, refunded me 30 euros, and offered a 200 RMB coupon. After several days of back-and-forth, I decided to drop the issue. For future rentals, make sure to take thorough photos and videos during pickup, and record the entire return process too.

This Company is absolutely appalling. They bullied us into taking some insurance policy which we didn't need, and said that if we didn't take it, they would charge us over €1500 deposit. We didn't get the car we booked, even though it was supposed to be guaranteed. The staff were rude, extremely unhelpful and downright unprofessional. I definitely would never use them again. Even on drop off, they were rude. They made me re-park the car and criticized me for not filling the car up at their designated fuel station (I assume they get a commission for that as well!)

Then even at a slightest chance they will find something to charge damage fee. Ours was scratch at left rim where you can easily remove with polishing. When I arrived, there was only one staff member, and I had to wait in line for over half an hour. They told me the original automatic car was not available, so I had to take a manual car with over 130,000 kilometers on it, which was old and full of scratches. The passenger seat was filthy and stained, and it couldn't be cleaned properly. I lodged a complaint two weeks ago and still haven't received a response.

I have hired many cars in multiple locations. I can honestly say Leasys was the best experience from beginning to end. The staff were so helpful and a breath of fresh air. They were kind and patient with elderly clients who were having difficulty with an automatic car. I had to call twice during my hire and was assisted promptly and once again with a caring manner. Car was perfectly clean outside with a seal across the door to show it had been CV19 cleaned inside. The mini bus took up straight to the door to be greeted by a gentleman who told us to go and get a ticket. Check in was smooth and straight forward. No hard selling!! Which was a major bonus. I had trouble finding which provider was renting this car as the hirer is a subsiduary of GOLD car but it was not obvious. The woman on the desk was very agressive and tried to sell me more insurance although I explained to her that I had already bought this through the online purchase. She kept saying the car was not insured. The car provided was full of dents and scratches and although I took loads of photos I am waiting to hear if they now try and bill me for some of these!

Be very aware on pick up, counter staff FORCE you take their extra insurance. And try every trick in the book to get you to take it on. Even when I purchased the extra insurance through easy rent cars through AXA. Girl on the desk said we were covered for nothing. And would be charged at any and every event. She even said she didn't know who AXA was, yet when she opened their insurance policy. They were covered through AXA. My advice, DO NOT be fooled by their lies. If your policy has it on black and white. Stick to your guns. They'll even threaten to revoke the voucher and refuse the hire. But you are covered. And don't let them hassle you.
