Car didn’t used very little petrol, so that was great. Our car didn’t have a lot of power though, so it was a bit hard to get up the mountain. Very good renting experience, would recommend thrifty.

Staff was really helpful. Everything was smooth except the address of drop off location mentioned on the card was changed to other location which took 15 mins more for us at the time of drop off but overall a great experience

The contract details with Avis were not as clear as with Hertz, and the on-site charges were higher than the online rates. In New Zealand, we used Hertz on the South Island and Avis on the North Island, and Hertz was definitely better.
