Poor communication between Avis and local dealer. If we are poor in korea speaking, we could not get A car during the trip. With the excellent service of the counter staff, we finally got A car which was given up by other client at that time.

I booked it at 3am on a Saturday to have my car picked up on Sunday with payment paid in full online. By the time I got to the pick up, they said they never received the booking. So they did not have the model of car I reserved for me. Furthermore, because they did not receive the booking from Avis/ EasyRentCars, they had me paying again and refunding me when I drop off which I did. But they couldn't refund it on my card, and I had to go back in to reconfirm that the transaction of payment was cancelled. Overall, service was good. Just that when I was picking up, the lady wasn't super nice about it despite I had all my document proofing my booking. She told me to talk to Avis myself. It was frustrating.

Like: that the staff at Avis rental inside airport is okay. Good enough communication to figure out where the next stop will be to the shuttle then to the AJ Rental Car. Staff there was friendly.

Picking up and returning the car was very smooth. We opted for pre-registration and used an electronic pickup system on-site, eliminating the need to visit the counter, which was very fast. The electronic unlocking system was quite advanced, but the only issue was having to locate the email link, re-enter the webpage, and use a verification code each time to unlock and lock the car, which was somewhat time-consuming. It would be much more convenient if they offered a mobile app in the future.

The instructions given for where to find the shuttle bus were incorrect, so we had to ask another bus driver where to go. When we arrived at the checkin counter the receptionist was quite rude. Apart from this the ease of booking, the car and the drop off were great.

Picking up the car was very convenient. The instructions were very clear. Just exit from Gate 5 of the airport, cross the street to the car rental shuttle stop, and wait at the designated parking number for your shuttle. When I arrived at the car rental office, I was initially directed to use a machine, but the staff saw I was a foreigner and provided personal service instead. The efficiency was very high, and the car pick-up was quick.

The supplier was OK Car Rental and never have I gone through such a quick and painless return process. Within 6 minutes we were out of our car, inspection complete, overfilling of gas tank refunded to us (wow!), bathroom break and Hop! On the shuttle bus to the airport. And the clerk remembered us from a week prior whe we picked up the car. It was excellent all around.

Pickup is very convenient with self-service machines. After filling out the information and printing the receipt, just hand it to the staff and get your keys! The car was in reasonable condition and had 95,000 kilometers on it.

1) Both side mirrors were glazed which made me very difficult to see the view in them. Unsafe driving 2) the fuel level when I picked up the car was not full. The Tamra staff refused to top it up to full.

The pickup counter does not have the sign of “LOTTE” which caused a bit of confusion. If I am not wrong, it is “ Hertz” instead. Also, there is a machine for the customers to take queue number but it is placed at a corner. No one guide the customers to take queue number.

The counter staff were not very fluent in English, leading to communication being slightly difficult. This was problematic especially as there were many things that we could not clarify. The guy who brought us to the car also did not explain much due to language barrier. Our tyre was punctured during our trip and we called the LOTTE RENT A CAR number that they provided for about at least 5 times, but no one answered the call. It was always engaged.

It is my first time renting a car in Jeju. The car comes with GPS. The staff is helpful to set drop-off as Home on the GPS (the GPS is a must as it finds the place that I wanna to go easily and it is in Korean) which really makes it easy for me to find my way back to return the car.

Like: Everything went fine regardless the fact that i don't have credit card; I booked the car via debit card. Most of the car rental company would ask for credit card upon pickup. The staff is very helpful and they are giving their best to speak in english. Don't worry, they can understand and converse in basic english. Car pickup and drop-off is very fast. They also refund the money back to us because we left more fuel compared to the original fuel level when we pickup the car. :) Really glad that I choose this car rental.
Dislike: I think the car itself is a little bit old. We drove it around Jeju Island, and sometimes it squeek. And sometimes when we tried to brake, it suddenly shaking. It terrify us at first but we used to it after first day; hoping that we're not stranded in the middle of no where.

Like: RAY fits what we need - a car for 2. It is quite spacious for 2 persons if you are travelling with huge luggage. The portable GPS attached with the car has been a great help. Better then waze!
Dislike: We were waiting for more than 30 minutes to pick up our car when the others who came later got theirs within 5 minutes. The car given to us is quite old and very dirty (outside, inside is clean). The passenger's seat buckle in not in good condition.

Like: They have make our journey there in Jeju the best we ever had...fantastic services and good attention to customers...and they did their best with their limited english but everything was fine...the returning part was handled by a young man with superb English command and very cheerful nature making this the best experience we ever had...Thank you so much for everything!!!!!
Dislike: GPS provided by the car rental agency is not in english BUT they really try their best to teach us how to use it and they did not know the existence of WAZE which is better suited for us...anyway, this is a small matter and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience...it will be good if they can provide English version of GPS for those who do not use Waze or other navigation system at all....
