  2 - "The person who handed over the car was not the same as the one who received it upon return. I picked up the car at 11 PM and, trusting them, didn’t inspect it thoroughly. When returning the car, they claimed there was a scratch on the hood and blamed it on me, demanding compensation of 800 riyals. Their judgment seemed arbitrary—they decide it’s your responsibility, and that’s it. When returning the car at the airport, I waited for half an hour before someone showed up. The person receiving the car was completely different from the one who handed it over. Since different people have varying understandings of the car’s condition, any discrepancies between the pickup and drop-off inspection forms are automatically deemed the customer’s fault. There was a manager in the group with a rude attitude, though the young lady who finally assisted me was polite. Unfortunately, this didn’t change the fact that I had to pay 800 riyals. Thankfully, I had purchased the full insurance coverage, but I still felt like I was unfairly taken advantage of. Having rented cars for business trips for years, this is the first time I’ve experienced such issues. This feels like a one-time deal, and going forward, none of my company’s employees will use this rental company."

Right next door is Lumi, the largest local car rental company in Saudi Arabia; their prices are even cheaper, and I recommend booking directly via their official website. During the car return process, the staff's attitude was extremely rude, and I was personally threatened, with them claiming they would call the police to detain me and prevent me from leaving. The issue stemmed from a minor scratch, for which they demanded 350 SAR in compensation. After paying with my card, I requested a receipt and pictures to pursue reimbursement later. By then, my flight had arrived, and passengers were already queuing. The staff became visibly impatient and tried to hurry me away. After repeatedly insisting, the staff's behavior turned hostile, saying, 'You must go. If you don’t go, I will not send you.' They later added, 'IF YOU DON’T LEAVE, I WILL CALL THE POLICE TO CATCH YOU, THEN YOU CANNOT LEAVE ANYMORE.' Afterward, I sought help from the police, but they couldn’t assist as they did not speak English. Airport staff intervened, but the car rental staff insisted I delete any photos, claiming I took them without permission, even threatening me by saying this was illegal. In the end, I almost missed my flight, and the issue was not resolved. Nearly three weeks have passed, and I still haven’t received the damage photos from the car rental company. Efforts by Zuzuche to mediate have also been unsuccessful, and the insurance claim process hasn’t progressed. Throughout the ordeal, the car rental company has shown no signs of apology."

There are no signs in the parking lot, so it took some time to locate the staff. The staff members are sitting inside the cars, which makes them a bit hard to find. The car was quite new, and after the staff checked and registered the car, you’re ready to go."

Having to pay a deposit of 2500 SAR was acceptable, but they took almost from 11 PM to nearly 3 AM to finish processing and hand over the car! Every time someone came by, the staff stopped working just to chat with them! It's more horrifying than 'lightning's 'hahaha'! And if you think that's the end, the real nightmare comes later. When returning the car, we handed the keys to the staff inspecting the car in the parking lot, completed all procedures at the counter, confirmed multiple times that everything was fine, and then left. However, when I went to rent another car in the next city, they told me I hadn't returned the keys! I requested the staff to make a phone call to confirm, but they directly refused and told me to make the call myself. After much effort, I contacted them through the rental platform, and they finally acknowledged it was a misunderstanding. Yet, renting again took another three hours!"
