There was a long queue after landing due to the large number of people going through customs. We were about 45 minutes late picking up the car, but the rental company kindly extended the time for free, which was great.

I experienced vehicle damage and had full insurance coverage, which obligated compensation. However, this company is extremely slow, taking over two months just to provide a document to the insurance company. Their efficiency is very poor!

The reserved car was not available, but they provided a Mazda 6 of the same price range. The car was in excellent condition and very clean. Overall, it was a great experience. Europcar is a global chain with a diverse selection of vehicles. Since this period coincided with the local Eid festival, comparable to Chinese New Year, the prices were significantly higher than usual.

They brought the car to the airport parking lot, and right after the inspection, they pulled out a POS machine and asked me to pay 50 local currency (equivalent to nearly 1000 RMB), telling me it was just a temporary hold on my credit card and would be released when the order ended. (I had purchased full insurance for this order, but they still forced me to pay this fee, which is outright fraud. I bought full insurance to avoid these issues, yet I was still forced to pay.) However, when the order ended, no one contacted me about how to unfreeze or handle this money. When I consulted with my bank, they told me the payment was taken directly and not held, and now, over a month has passed with no contact from anyone. When I tried to reach their customer service for support, no one responded. Very disappointing. The most frustrating part is that they didn't have the Hongqi car I wanted, yet they forcefully gave me a Cowin instead. Honestly, I've never heard of this brand, and driving it was terrible. If they didn't have the Hongqi available, they shouldn't have accepted my order. The customer service even told me this car was newer and better than the Hongqi. I've never seen such industrial junk in my home country; the interior was full of plastic noises. Truly garbage.

The counter inside the airport is relatively easy to find. The pickup is in the parking lot, and there was no one to guide us. We had to follow the directions from the counter. We waited more than half an hour for the car, which was different from the one we reserved. We booked a sedan, but we got a hatchback. We were told it could fit two 24-inch suitcases, but the hatchback clearly couldn't. This was very disappointing. Also, in Oman, you have to wash the car before returning it, or you'll be charged. When returning the car, the store asked for the booking slip again, even though they had already checked it when we picked up the car. Overall, compared to experiences in China, there is still much room for improvement.

The overall service was average. The staff had a cold attitude during the car rental process and it took a long time. They didn't clearly explain the specific requirements and just asked me to sign an electronic document that I couldn't understand. I booked a Hyundai Tucson SUV, but they gave me a Toyota Corolla sedan instead. They didn't explain or respond to my concerns, and I had to take the car as is. When we went to the Green Mountain in Nizwa, the sedan was not allowed in the mountainous area, so we had to rent a local SUV for a day at the cost of 800 RMB, which caused additional expenses.

- The rental pick up location was not clearly specified and I had to ask almost all rental agency there about Interrent! the agency incharge of this had a comple different name (Europe Cars)! There was no clear indication that Europe cars are the same as Interrent. - The car was so terrible and although it was automatic, it felt like I am driving a manual car. - I am still waiting for my refund which I don't know when will I receive it. when I picked the car they told me I will get it back once I drop the car and this didn't happen yet
